Helmets for the Front Line: Request for the DIU MoD Unit "Black Winter Group" Fulfilled

In April 2025, the Bit Spilka Foundation, together with Czech partners Zbrane pro Ukrajinu and the Donio platform, delivered 19 TOR-D ballistic helmets for the DIU MoD special unit "Black Winter Group".

How can I help

The foundation supported the process from the request to the handover of the equipment to the fighters.

Helmets are a critical element of protection for every soldier. They save lives and help our defenders remain operational every day.

This was exactly the request we received from the DIU MoD special unit Black Winter Group. They needed TOR-D ballistic helmets — modern equipment that meets current standards of protection and comfort.

We are glad to report: the request has been fulfilled. Nineteen TOR-D helmets were delivered directly to the unit.

This support became possible thanks to our partners from the Czech Republic — the charitable foundation Zbrane pro Ukrajinu — and everyone who joined through the Donio platform. Thanks to these collective efforts, we were able to provide Ukrainian soldiers with the equipment they needed.

The Bit Spilka Foundation acted as a partner in fulfilling the request: we supported the entire process — from documentation and legal coordination to procurement approval, logistics, and the direct handover of the equipment to the fighters.

  • Equipment name: TOR-D ballistic helmet

  • Unit: Black Winter Group, DIU MoD
